Elliott Bay’s trucking division initially formed in 1979 in a partnership arrangement. In the beginning, the three partners had at their disposal just a small office and a few trucks. In a short time, Arthur Edens gained control of the fledgling trucking company and began to grow its customer base via good relationships, honest service, and fair pricing. Working primarily within the waterfront community, Elliott Bay gained a solid reputation which spurred its initial growth. After a few years in business, Elliott Bay acquired a small warehouse space on 1st avenue in Seattle to be able to provide short term storage and trans-loading needs. After nine long years in the original location, Elliott Bay moved to its current location in 1988. This 40k square foot startup company now is 140k square feet, forty tractors, twenty-six full time employees, and is prepped and eager to become your service agent for the Pacific Northwest.
